Product features:
1. DC Motor 48V's armature consists of one or more electrical windings around the armature arm. These electrical windings generate a magnetic field when excited by an external current. The magnetic poles generated by the rotor magnetic field are thus attracted by the opposite magnetic poles generated by the stator magnetic field and are repelled by similar magnetic poles, which causes the armature to rotate.
2. This DC Motor 48V does not use an external current switching device, but uses a mechanical connector called a commutator, which is a segmented sleeve usually made of copper and mounted on a rotating shaft. The current +/- is supplied to the commutator segment by means of a brush.
3. As it rotates, the brush slides over the commutator segments, creating a variable magnetic field in the different arms through the commutator segments connected to the windings. Therefore, when a voltage is applied to the brush, a dynamic magnetic field is generated in the motor. It has a mechanical sliding contact between the brush and the commutator collar. Brushes and springs carrying currents need to be replaced from time to time. The DC Motor 48V also needs to be cleaned or replaced regularly.
